The first thing to do when you come to Japan
１．Rent Wi-Fi Router
There are not many free Wi-Fi spots. In some cases, there is also a security risk. If you want to travel all over Japan, I recommend that you rent a Wi-Fi Router.
２．Get Japanese Yen
◎Use ATM at Seven-Eleven (Convenience Store)
◎Use the currency exchange service

３．Purchase prepaid e-money card for moving around and shopping
If you are going to stay in Japan for a little while, you had better get prepaid electronic money such as Suica,PASMO .
<What is it ？>
" Suica "is a popular prepaid e-money card for moving around and shopping (Issued by JR-East :East Japan Railway). ”PASMO” has the same functions as Suica, and issued by private transport companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
In addition, there are Kitaca (JR-HOKKAIDO), TOICA (JR-Central), ICOCA (JR-West), SUGOCA (JR-Kyushu) , which can be used mutually.
＜How to use＞
When you first buy it, you need to pay a deposit and load it. The deposit will be refunded when you return the prepaid e-money card. When the balance on the card is low, you can reload it at the station or convenience store.
＜Where to Purchase＞
The prepaid e-money card can be purchased in major stations at Multifunction Ticket Vending Machines, JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-madoguchi) .

■From Narita Airport
（A）Take the limited express train（N'EX Narita Express / JR Line）
- Route map：「１」→「７」 or 「１」→「８」
- Good point：Fast（about 120 min）, Easy
- Bad point：You need a limited express ticket as well as a train ticket
- Transfer Sta.（N'EX）：Tokyo,Shinagawa or Yokohama（Some trains do not arrive at Yokohama Sta.）
- Advise：Head to Yokohama station and transfer to the Yokohama line(JR) or Blue Line（Yokohama subway)
（B）Use Keisei and JR Line
- Route map：「２」→「３」→「１」→「７」 or 「２」→「３」→「１」→「８」
- Good point：Cheap（about 2,000 Yen）
- Bad point：Pay attention to the destination of the train
- Transfer Sta.：Shimbashi（Switch to JR Tokaido Line）
- Advise：Take the train that goes through "Oshiage" Sta.（The Keisei Line joins the Asakusa Line(subway) at Oshiage） The train to Haneda Airport will take you there.
■From Haneda Airport
（C）Use Keikyu Line
- Route map：「６」→「６’」→「１」→「７」 or 「６」→「６’」→「１」→「８」
- Good point： Fast
- Bad point：Pay attention to the destination of the train
- Transfer Sta.：Keikyu-Kamata（Some trains do not arrive at Yokohama Sta.）
- Advise：If you get on a train for Shinagawa, you need to transfer at Keikyu-kamata
■From Shibuya,Shinjuku,Ikebukuro （Central Tokyo）
（D）Use Tokyu Toyoko Line
- Route map：「５」→「９」→「７」
- Good point： Easy, Cheap
- Bad point：Usually, Toyoko Line is packed
- Transfer Sta.：Shibuya and Kikuna
- Advise： Transfer to the Yokohama line（JR） at Kikuna sta.
（E）Use JR Line
- Route map：「５」→「１」→「７」or「５」→「１」→「８」
- Good point： If you get on from stations in the East area of the central Tokyo, it ’s fast（Ueno,Aki-habara,Ginza,Toyosu,Shimbashi etc）
- Bad point：N/A
- Transfer Sta.：Tokyo,Shimbashi,Shinagawa
- Advise： Transfer to the Yokohama line（JR）or Blue line(Subway) at Yokohama sta.
■When you want to board the Shinkansen（Bullet train）
（F）
- Route map：「４」
- Good point： Fastest, It will be a good experience
- Bad point：You need a limited express ticket as well as a train ticket
- Transfer Sta.：None（Get off at Shin-Yokohama Sta.)
- Advise：You may be able to sit with a non-reserved seat ticket if you get on "Kodama"
